Yes...in that I thought it was what I wanted to get involved in it, no in that I was born into the circumstances that led to all of it.
Okay, so
Kids in my world, some of them end up very different, they're born with the ability to either turn into weapons or able to wield those weapons--sensitivity to the supernatural, weird abilities, all of that. Our former leader, Lord Death, brought all of these kids together in a school to teach them how to fight. Kill or be killed, all that stuff.
I thought it was what I wanted because I was doing like my mom and protecting people. Having thought about it here, sometimes I wonder if it was really all necessary that we had to be so young and fight in this "war" Lord Death started with the Witches.
So, the long and short of it is: yes, I was taught to want to get involved in that, and no it just happened to me until I got used to it. Like it was normal. People like me don't usually live past 30.

huh i mean yeah i was being ironic at the time about whatever the fuck we were talking about but the friend part checks out i wasnt thinking too hard about it but yeah sure i seem to be experiencing legitimate sincerity surrounding the matter
this is like the third time someones made a production out of the f word since i got here so im just kind of like am i giving out unsavory overtures unintentionally youre someone i talk to and regularly seek companionable conversation with is this not the start of a budding friendship its enough to make a guy feel insecure about himself not me but like a normal less chill guy
Basically he was Lord Death's personal Weapon, so that's like a second in command. He also went around cheating on my mom a lot. Flirted with my friends' moms when I was little, actively kept me from being friends with boys for my "safety."
I either lost a lot of friends or couldn't make any in the first place because of him. Or I wasn't sure if they were just trying to get in with me because of his status.

I take it more seriously than most, I guess?
I think what I'm trying to say is the old cliche of "it's not you, it's me."
