Where's Dear Abby when you need advice?]

Have you ever been in a situation
Where you knew something somebody else didn't
And you weren't sure if you should tell them or not
Like you knew that if they found out they'd be really upset but there's also nothing they could do about it
And you don't want them to blame themselves
Or
Get mad at you
But pretending it didn't happen feels
I don't know
A lot like lying I guess
What would you do in those circumstances?

I'm asking for a friend.

Upset with you or herself?

You can't keep someone from getting upset with themselves...all you can do is be there for them, let them know you care and support them. It sounds weird but just a simple "I'm here, I'm not going anywhere" can mean a whole lot.

A lot of stuff about life is unfair, but even with the unfair and unhappy stuff, there's still a lot of good to be found in it too. I think people blame themselves for things that happen even if it wasn't their fault so they can put some sense to it, even though it's senseless and totally out of their control.

uh

I don't know what you mean by tool

do you mean someone used you as a tool

cause that's not your fault either

Well...

I guess technically you asked for other peoples' perspective on it, so I'm not going to sit here and try to convince you about telling the truth. You could come back to it later when you're more comfortable?

But hopefully you do that before she asks. Trying to think of lies to answer the questions you get are terrible.
faintwaves: ([Pleased] I'm so relieved)

Good luck.

I mean that, really.

It's hard at first but...you feel better once the air is cleared.

[...]

Whether it's right or wrong depends on who's looking at the situation. Some people might say it's mean of you to tell something like that to your friend, some people might say it's mean to keep the truth from her. I guess it depends on what's in your own heart.

Do you love your friend?

I mean as a friend.

Chances are she loves you as a friend, too. And both of you will find it in your hearts to do the right thing, whatever it happens to be in your case.

I know it's weird, what kind of advice is relying on your heart? But I know too that your heart is one of the strongest things you've got for deciding right and wrong. Small or big, it's a light that guides you through dark times.
faintwaves: ([Curious] Aren't you coming?)

[Remember. Disney Princess.

Or at least a clone of one.]

You say weird stuff.

[Kinda like someone familiar to her.]

Your "bloodpusher" has some good morals is what I'm saying, kind of like Jiminy Cricket.

[...Where does she remember that name--dammit Sora and your stupid memories.]
faintwaves: ([Awkward] Do I look like Roxas?)

Yeah, the only crickets I've seen here are Kricketot and Kricketune, and they're more into making music than talking.

Just try to trust it a little bit and I think you'll be okay.
faintwaves: ([Lethe] Never forget that's the truth)

Hey, it's all right. You're doing the best you can for your friend right now, I understand that. So, again: good luck to you.
